Melissa Wampler, M.D.
Dr. Wampler grew up in Dallas, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Austin College and attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. She returned to Dallas to complete residency training at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
In 1994, Dr. Wampler moved to Kerrville and began practicing as an obstetrician/gynecologist. She is married to her husband David and they have two grown children, Blake and Ava. She enjoys traveling, reading, relaxing out at the ranch, exercising, and spending time with her family.
When asked why she chose her specialty, Dr. Wampler says, "I love developing relationships with women at all phases of life. I was first drawn to Obstetrics and Gynecology because I loved delivering babies and being a part of the miracle of pregnancy and birth. At this stage of my career, I enjoy helping women through the changes associated with all phases of life from puberty through menopause."
